These "upper caste" morons are agitating against the UGC's "anti discrimination rule" claiming that "upper castes" are being discriminated against by favouring SC/ST/OBC

BUT WHAT DOES THE RULE ACTUALLY SAY??

The new rule DOES NOT focus only on SC/ST/OBC, it also includes discrimination based on place of birth, race, disability, disadvantaged groups, economic backwardness etc

Thus,

A Manipuri Meitei or Assamese Brahmin cant be called "Chinki"

A Bihari, UP Brahmin or Rajput cannot be called any racial slur like "Bhayiya"

An upper caste disabled person cannot be discriminated against

An upper caste from economic weaker section cannot be discriminated against

This discrimination as defined in the rule is also applicable on SC/ST/OBC in case they are found to have indulged in such discrimination.

The regulations define discrimination as any unfair, biased, or differential treatment—whether explicit (direct) or implicit (indirect)—on grounds including:

Caste and Tribe

Religion and Race

Gender and Place of Birth

Disability

Crucially, the definition now focuses on the effect of an action rather than just the intent. Conduct that undermines human dignity, equality of treatment, or access to education is classified as discrimination, even if discriminatory intent is not overt.

Composition of the Equity Committee
The committee consists of 10 members, structured as follows:

Chairperson: Head of the Institution (Vice-Chancellor/Principal): 1 (Ex-officio)
Faculty Members: Senior Professors or Faculty Members of the HEI: 3
Non-Teaching Staff: Staff member other than a teacher: 1
Civil Society: External representatives with relevant experience: 2
Student Invitees: Nominated based on merit, sports, or co-curriculars: 2 (Special Invitees)
Member Secretary: Coordinator of the Equal Opportunity Centre: 1 (Ex-officio)

Now, we all know the reality on ground of the representation of SC/ST/OBC in the positions of Head of the Institution (Vice-Chancellor/Principal), Senior Professors or Faculty Members, that goes to upper caste members. External representatives with relevant experience may or may not be both from SC/ST/OBC

Mandatory Diversity: The rules mandate that at least five members of this 10-member panel must belong to reserved or marginalized categories, including:

Scheduled Castes (SC)

Scheduled Tribes (ST)

Other Backward Classes (OBC)

Women (does not specify only from SC/ST/OBC)

Persons with Disabilities (PwD) (does not specify only from SC/ST/OBC)

Other than THREE specific SC/ST/OBC, SEVEN can/will be from upper castes.

Thus, de facto majority of the panel presiding over any discriminatory charges against upper caste students will themselves be from upper caste.

When the judge, jury and the accused are all upper castes, where is the discrimination against upper castes??

Curiously, majority of the upper castes outraging over the UGC rule are core constituency of BJP, on social media they are already "boasting" how they protest against their own political leadership. Question is why are upper caste morons agitating? Why are they assuming that the default crime is going to be blamed against upper castes?

Answer is simple, all these upper caste morons clearly know what their peers do all over India all the time, from pissing on faces of SC/ST, beating up SC/ST grooms for riding a horse, beating up SC/ST for "wearing good clothes" and so on. These are the same morons who insult NE Indians calling them Chinese/Chinki/Momo etc. Also, racial slurs against South Indians, Bengalis etc. Calling people "chuda"/"Chamaar"/"Chaprasi" etc is quite common.

It isnt uncommon that there are numerous instances of SC/ST/OBC suffering from "Stockholm syndrome" also indulge in such crimes as part of a larger peer group consisting of upper castes, simply to be "part of the social power structure".

A Hindu right wing hate monger Ajit Bharati, who has frequently positioned himself as a voice for the "Savarna" (upper caste) or General Category, recently issued a video calling for violence agsint the Union Education Minister Dharmndra Pradhan, the video speaks of gory explicit violence. Dharmendra Pradhan is an OBC from Kurmi caste, Ajit Bharati an upper caste........ NO PROTESTS, NO FIR!!
